Hannah K. DeFord, AuD, CCC-A
Audiologist
Dr. Hanna DeFord earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and a Doctorate of Audiology from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She completed her residency in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where she spent two years working as an audiologist prior to moving to Asheville.
Dr. DeFord also has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American-Speech Language-Hearing Association and is a professional member of the American Academy of Audiology. She has extensive training in electrophysiology and vestibular audiology, and has transitioned to working with the implant team for bone-anchored hearing aids and cochlear implants.
She believes in patient-centered care and makes sure patients know what to expect, and feel comfortable voicing any concerns so that she can help them on their journey to better hearing.
Dr. DeFord is an avid reader, an NFL lover (Go Vikings!), and a gamer. She has two cats who keep her company, and stays close to her family back in Texas and Oklahoma.
