New temporary policies have been put in place at Asheville Ear, Nose and Throat due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Our goal is to keep everyone, including our doctors, staff, and above all, our patients, as safe as possible. The CDC is currently using the following questions to screen patients:
- Do you have a fever OR respiratory symptoms, cough or shortness of breath?
- Have you traveled to an affected area within the 14 days of onset of symptoms OR have you had close contact with a person with COVID-19?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, please call our office to reschedule your appointment. Our office is not equipped to test for or treat COVID-19, or symptoms related to the virus.
We are currently not seeing patients with acute onset of a cough (less than 1 month) OR a fever. As stated above, anyone with these symptoms will need to be rescheduled.
We are now prescreening for a cough, fever, anosmia (loss of smell) or dysguesia (loss of taste) at the door of our office. Anyone with these symptoms will be asked to reschedule. We are also asking that patients (other than minors) attend their appointment alone, unless they have reasons that make having an additional person necessary.
Additional information can be found on the CDC and WHO websites.
We appreciate your understanding.
